Thanks for the feedback, it actually wasn’t as much work as you think as I mainly wrote down from my experience and what I have learned over the years. I have made a lot of mistakes and watched a lot of great presenters so hopefully I have learned a bit along the way that I can share.

Hi Anusuya, Thanks for your feedback and it confirms what I think, the use of professional design services really depends on your own skill set and how confident you feel doing it your self. I have looked at Canva a few times but haven’t used it yet although I think I will have to try it now based on your comments. Have you tried many other systems?

Hi Jake, thanks for your feedback, it really is appreciated.

In my opinion there are three main factors to consider when deciding whether to create your own or invest in a professionally designed presentation.

1 – Your current skill set, 2 – The time you have to create your Presentation, 3 – how often you will be creating presentations

If your current skill set is very low then I would recommend getting it done professionally as it will be much better and you can then learn from what they provide to develop your own skills

If you are really short on time then I would definitely invest as they will produce it really quickly which will allow you to focus on learning the content rather than creating the presentation

If you will be creating a lot of presentations then personally I would do it yourself, it might take longer initially but you will learn faster and it will benefit you more in the long run . This is just my personal opinion though and I am sure others might disagree as It really is a personal thing, I find more people leaning towards using professional services as we seem to want higher quality without the having to put the work in. I actually enjoy putting the work in and get more satisfaction from doing it.

I am starting to gather some info on the different providers and will do an article on this soon, AI is really adding to this area so i think it will change fast

I have made slide presentations for national and international presentations in my professional life. It gets reviewed by the directors in the beginning. I am very capable of making my own presentation.
